Me
I'm a photographer based on New York City. My work ranges from intimate abstracts to vast landscapes, from macro details to architectural scenes and aerial perspectives.
I'm passionate about visual storytelling and travel, capturing the beauty of the world through my lens, and connecting with people to learn their stories, cultures and traditions. By day, I'm an Engineering Program Manager at Apple, having helped launch the (ill-fated) Apple Pay Later and am working on more exciting stuff on the way.
I take pride in carrying forward a family tradition of photography that began with my grandfather, and was passed down to me through my dad. This legacy, combined with my natural curiosity about the world, has shaped my approach to photography and life.
When I'm not photographing or working, you can find me experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, dancing traditional Greek folk dances (a passion since the age of 5), diving into history or seeing shows on Broadway. I love learning languages and am fluent in Dutch after a year as a foreign exchange student in Belgium, proficient in Greek and pretty rusty in German. I'm constantly exploring new ways to connect with people across cultures and to learn about the world through their eyes.
My Journey
My path to photography has been a lifetime in the making, and has been woven with exploration, learning and growth. I grew up inspired by old photos of family history and surrounded by a blend of urban and natural beauty in California. In 2015, a transformative backpacking trip across Southeast Asia propelled my love for the art exponentially forward and ignited a drive to tell my life story captured in photos.
Along the way, I've lived in San Francisco, San Diego, Austin and now NYC — each adding its own flavor to my creative journey. My travels have taken me to over 30 countries and frequently to soak up the Mediterranean sun in the land of my Greek forefathers and mothers, which I try to treat as my yearly medicinal dose of vitamin D.
Academically, I've combined my love of technical details and artistic patterns through a foundation of Statistics and Linguistics in my undergrad, capped off with a master's in Statistical Analytics.
Today, photography remains one of my primary ways of connecting with the world. Whether capturing a fleeting moment in New York or a timeless scene elsewhere, my work reflects my passion for people, culture and the universal stories that unite us all.
